The the Ted Baker brief I want to design my own typeface that can be used for a window display and across a range of other promotional material such as clothing tags etc. I want to use the theme of Autumn/winter to design the typeface but in a subtle way. I have therefore been looking at Vogue to see what kinds of styles, trends are in for Autumn/ winter. I have come across an article on the Vogue website about the forties' glamour trend that is coming back into fashion. I think its could be really fun and exciting to interweave this style into a typeface. I need to research forties' fashion and the forties in general to give me more of an idea of the style. I need to be really careful that the typeface looks tasteful.

I have found that Mulberry and miu miu have forties influenced collections and i want to see if i can find an archive on vogue and tatler magazine to look at issues from the forties and look at the style that was used.
